Former NBA star Kemba Walker, best known for his dazzling run with the Charlotte Hornets, has officially tied the knot. The four-time All-Star married R&B singer Marissa earlier this July in an elegant ceremony held at the Conservatory at Blackberry Ridge in Trenton, Georgia.

The location held special meaning for the couple, with Marissa’s family based in Georgia and Walker’s relatives just a short trip away in North Carolina. The wedding weekend saw the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all take place on the same scenic property.
Walker received an outpouring of congratulations from the basketball world:
- Jay Williams: “Congrats brother!”
- Troy Daniels: “Congrats bro ❤️🔥”
- Quentin Richardson: “Congrats!!”
- Evan Turner: “Smooth and classy wedding!!”
- Steve Nash: “❤️❤️”
- Eddy Curry: “Congratulations!!! 🙌🏾”
Walker, the ninth overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, became a franchise icon in Charlotte, where he averaged 25.6 points per game at his peak and still holds the Hornets’ all-time records in points, three-pointers, and, as Ballislife.com puts it, “broken ankles.”
Over 12 NBA seasons with the Hornets, Celtics, Knicks, and Mavericks, Walker posted career averages of 19.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 1.2 steals per game across 750 appearances.
Now retired, the former UConn standout begins a new chapter—off the court, but still a fan favorite.
