Malaysia’s women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah enjoyed a rewarding 2025 season, earning a total of RM1.49 million (US$364,915) in prize money through consistent performances on the BWF World Tour.

The world No. 2 duo competed in 18 World Tour events this year, reaching five quarter-finals, five semi-finals, three finals, and winning four titles — Thailand Open, Arctic Open, Kumamoto Masters, and another Super 500 event. They also claimed silver at the World Championships in Paris in August.
Pearly-Thinaah came closest to breaking the RM2 million mark at the season-ending World Tour Finals in Hangzhou, where a semi-final finish brought them US$60,000 (RM245,000). Their largest single-tournament payout remained their semi-final prize at the WTF.
The duo’s only early exits this year were a first-round loss at the Malaysia Open and a second-round defeat at the Denmark Open. With their strong form, they are well-placed to surpass the RM2 million prize-money barrier in the next season.
