Pierre Gasly has been stripped of his podium finish at the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix after a series of FIA appeals changed the final classification.
Gasly originally finished third at the chequered flag, while Isack Hadjar claimed fourth place. However, the results have now been revised, with Hadjar promoted back onto the podium.
Gasly was initially handed two five-second time penalties for speeding in the pit lane. Alpine chose not to serve the penalties during the race, instead allowing both sanctions to be added to Gasly’s final race time.
Alpine later launched a Right of Review into the result, which initially led to both penalties being rescinded after they were deemed erroneous.
However, McLaren and Red Bull subsequently appealed the decision, arguing that other drivers in similar circumstances had already served their penalties during the race.
The latest appeals resulted in Gasly’s two penalties being reinstated, dropping him from third to seventh in the final classification.
The changes also reshuffle the drivers behind him, with Oscar Piastri promoted to fourth, Liam Lawson to fifth and Arvid Lindblad to sixth.
Hadjar therefore regains the final podium position in the revised Monaco Grand Prix results, while Gasly’s late penalty reversal has ultimately been overturned.
