Australian Boomer Duop Reath is reportedly set for a move to the Phoenix Suns ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the former Illawarra Hawks big man has agreed to a deal with the Suns, who are adding frontcourt depth with centre Mark Williams expected to miss several months with a shoulder injury.
Reath spent the past three seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, making 146 appearances, including 20 starts. He averaged 6.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointer per game during his NBA stint.
The 29-year-old was part of the Boomers squad that won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Reath previously spent one season in the NBL with the Illawarra Hawks in 2022-23, averaging 15.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks to help the team reach the playoffs.
The move to Phoenix will give Reath another opportunity to establish himself in the NBA and provide valuable depth for the Suns.
