Carrick Unfazed by Sack Pressure After Manchester United’s Humiliating 4-1 Defeat to Como

Michael Carrick insists he is not thinking about his job security despite Manchester United suffering a humiliating 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como, extending their winless run to seven matches in all competitions.

United fell behind inside the opening two minutes to Nico Paz and were completely outplayed by Cesc Fabregas’ side. Como raced into a 4-0 lead before Joshua Zirkzee scored a late consolation, leaving the travelling United supporters with another painful night to endure.

Carrick described the performance as “unacceptable” and admitted he was angry with the team’s lack of intensity, aggression and commitment. He also apologised to the travelling fans, acknowledging their frustration after weeks of disappointing results.

Despite the mounting pressure, Carrick insisted he had not given his own position any thought. However, with United struggling domestically and now suffering another damaging European defeat, the upcoming Premier League clash against Bournemouth could prove crucial.
