Erling Haaland swapped goals for gifts as the Manchester City striker dressed up as Father Christmas to surprise young fans in a festive Secret Santa stunt.
The Norwegian star, who has already scored 36 goals for club and country this season, went undercover for his YouTube channel, hoping his Santa outfit and beard would help him stay unrecognised. Haaland admitted he loves Christmas, describing it as a time for “cosiness” with family and friends.
Despite his efforts, some kids quickly spotted him — with one recognising his voice straight away. Haaland joked that his accent gave him away and even teased a young Manchester United fan by putting him “on the naughty list”.
After visiting several homes and handing out presents, Haaland was pleased with the experience, though he admitted his disguise still needs work.
“It was successful — just not because of my voice,” he laughed.
