Justin Hoh falls short in maiden World Tour final

Malaysia’s Justin Hoh saw his hopes of clinching a first World Tour title dashed after falling to Indonesia’s Alwi Farhan in the Macau Open final on Sunday (Aug 3).

The world No. 45 struggled against the in-form world No. 25 and 2023 world junior champion, losing 15-21, 5-21 at the Macau East Asian Games Dome.

Despite the defeat, it was a breakthrough tournament for the 21-year-old, who became the first Malaysian men’s singles player to reach a World Tour final in 2024.
