Leclerc Reflects on Costly Mistakes After P5 Finish in Canada

Charles Leclerc admitted frustration after finishing fifth in the Canadian Grand Prix, blaming his own errors earlier in the weekend for missing out on a better result.

A crash in FP1 and the loss of FP2 track time put him on the back foot, followed by a Q3 mistake that left him starting eighth on the grid. Despite showing strong race pace and briefly leading during pit stop cycles, Leclerc couldn’t recover enough to reach the podium.

He also questioned Ferrari’s two-stop strategy but accepted the team’s call, saying he’ll review the decision with them. “The pace was strong, but starting position made things difficult,” he said. “That’s where we deserved to finish.”
