Lee Zii Jia has described Malaysia as a “dark horse” for the upcoming Thomas Cup in Horsens, Denmark (April 24–May 3), despite the country’s 34-year wait for a title since 1992.

The Paris Olympic bronze medallist said he had not been putting high personal expectations on himself but believes the national squad has the potential to challenge strongly if everyone plays their part.
He added that he is likely to feature as third singles and will give his full effort if selected, stressing that every player in the team will be important to Malaysia’s chances.
