Scott McTominay’s revival story reached another milestone as the Napoli midfielder was named Serie A Player of the Year — but it was his partner, Cam Reading, who drew just as much attention at the Grand Gala of Football 2025 Awards in Milan.

The former Manchester United midfielder has been one of the standout stars in Italy since his £25.7 million move to Napoli in 2024. His debut season saw him score 12 goals across 34 league matches, helping Napoli clinch the Scudetto and winning over supporters with his energy, discipline, and goals from midfield.
His form has also carried onto the international stage, playing a key role in securing Scotland’s qualification for next summer’s World Cup.
On Monday night, McTominay not only claimed the Player of the Year award but was also named in the Serie A Best XI — joining Alessandro Bastoni, Federico Dimarco, Tijjani Reijnders and a resurgent Moise Kean.
But off the stage, Cam Reading made headlines with a daring sheer dress featuring a striking jewelled neckline. The pair appeared together on the red carpet smiling confidently, with McTominay opting for a classic tuxedo.
During his acceptance speech, McTominay expressed gratitude and reaffirmed that his move to Italy was the turning point of his career.
“It’s sensational. It’s incredible to be here and win this award,” he said, reflecting on his journey.
