Petronas has clarified that it is not responsible for ticket sales for the Formula 1 race at Sepang this October, following confusion after Malaysia was confirmed as the replacement host for the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The company explained that while it owns the naming rights to the Petronas Sepang International Circuit, it does not own or operate the venue. Ticketing, event management and race operations remain the responsibility of Sepang International Circuit (SIC).
Petronas urged fans to rely only on official announcements from SIC regarding ticket sales and event information, warning the public against scams or misinformation circulating online.
Formula 1 will return to Sepang for the first time since 2017 when the circuit hosts the Bahrain Grand Prix in October after the original Bahrain race was postponed due to the conflict in the Middle East.
