Paris Saint-Germain are effectively one step away from securing yet another Ligue 1 championship after a narrow 1-0 victory over Brest on Sunday, which leaves them six points clear at the top with two matches remaining and a significantly superior goal difference.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique rotated heavily following their Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich, resting nine players at kick-off. However, substitute Désiré Doué made the difference, scoring the decisive goal in the 83rd minute with a strike from the edge of the box.
PSG will be officially crowned French champions for a fifth consecutive season—and the 12th time in 14 years—if they avoid defeat against Lens on Wednesday. Even in the unlikely event they lose both remaining matches, their commanding goal difference makes it almost impossible for Lens to catch them.
The Paris club are also preparing for a major Champions League final clash against Arsenal later this month after edging past Bayern Munich 6-5 on aggregate in the semi-finals.
Behind PSG, Lens have already secured Champions League football for next season after a win over Nantes and will also face Nice in the French Cup final. Lille moved into third place with a win over Monaco, while Lyon dropped to fourth after a defeat to Toulouse.
Further down the table, Rennes strengthened their European hopes with a win over Paris FC, and Marseille kept their chances alive with a victory over Le Havre thanks to a Mason Greenwood penalty. The battle for European qualification remains tight, with several clubs still fighting for final positions going into the last round of fixtures.
At the bottom end of the table, Auxerre climbed out of the relegation play-off spot after beating Nice, while Lorient are already relegated alongside Nantes. Promotions from Ligue 2 are also being decided, with Troyes confirmed as champions and Le Mans close to joining them.
