GG, one of seven teams to receive a direct invite, stunned fans with a sudden exit last week. Speculation was rife about who would fill the gap, with names like OG in the mix. However, Valve confirmed Yakutou Brothers as the replacement via TI’s official X account, even revealing their roster.
Previously known as “Yakult Brothers,” this Chinese squad has stayed intact since shortly after TI2024. While this marks their debut as a unit at The International, they bring significant experience to the stage.
Valve’s choice suggests no regional qualifiers were considered for this slot, leaving some teams out of contention. With GG gone, Yakutou Brothers now carry the torch, ready to make their mark at TI2025.
