Yunara is the newest champion to join League of Legends and will be arriving in Patch 25.14, scheduled for release on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. As part of the ongoing Spirit Blossom festival, Yunara brings a thematic flair along with a unique playstyle rooted in deep lore and traditional mechanics.

Hailing from the spiritual island of Ionia, Yunara is a revered member of the Kinkou Order—an ancient group dedicated to maintaining balance between the mortal world and the spirit realm. During the Darkin War, she served as the Order’s ‘Fist of Shadow’ and sacrificed herself to imprison a powerful Darkin artifact known as the Glaive within the Spirit Realm. For centuries, she remained sealed away in a shrine until the Spirit Blossom’s Wyldbloom event stirred her from slumber. Now reborn with the title of ‘Unbroken Faith,’ Yunara returns to protect Ionia once more.
Yunara is classified as a bot-lane ADC (Attack Damage Carry), specifically designed for players who thrive on precise positioning, orb walking, and consistent damage output. She is a marksman who adheres to traditional ranged mechanics, but her kit also incorporates a modern design meant to test the fundamental skills of the ADC role. Riot Games has clarified that she is exclusively intended for the botlane, and any usage in other lanes will be discouraged through balance tuning.
With her combination of narrative depth and mechanical clarity, Yunara is set to bring a fresh yet familiar experience to bot-lane players looking to master a new champion with high impact potential.
