Aaron Tai & Khai Xing Crowned Syed Modi Champions

Malaysia’s rising men’s doubles pair Aaron Tai and Khai Xing clinched their first ever BWF Super 300 title after defeating fellow Malaysians Chia Weijie–Lwi Sheng Hao in the Syed Modi International final.

The world No. 57 pair dominated the first game 21-9 and held their nerve in a tighter second game to seal a 21-19 victory — marking their biggest career win and their second title in two months, following their Malaysia Super 100 triumph in Johor.

Assistant coach Chang Kim Wai praised their tactical discipline, saying the pair executed their game plan perfectly.

After a difficult start to their senior career with 11 consecutive early exits, the former world junior champions now look set to secure their partnership as they continue gaining momentum on the world stage.
