Malaysian women’s singles shuttler Goh Jin Wei is determined to regroup and rebuild her form after missing out on qualification for the World Championships in August. Although the disappointment was significant, the 26-year-old is focused on moving forward and preparing for a busy stretch of tournaments starting with the Thailand Open.

Her coach, Nova Armada, said Jin Wei remains in good spirits and highly motivated ahead of the upcoming competitions. He noted that her training and preparation have continued smoothly, with attention already shifting to the events following Thailand.
Before the Thailand Open begins, Jin Wei had already been aware she would not make the cut for the world meet. However, Nova emphasized that the setback has not affected her commitment or drive to perform better in the coming weeks.
After competing in Thailand this week, Jin Wei will return to Malaysia for the Malaysian Masters from May 19 to 24. She will then head to Sydney for the Australian Open from June 9 to 14, followed by the Macau Open the week after.
Jin Wei also benefited from several withdrawals in the Thailand Open and Malaysian Masters, which allowed her direct entry into the main draw and spared her from qualifying rounds. In Thailand, she is set to face a qualifier in the opening round, with a potential second-round clash against fourth seed Pornpawee Chochuwong.
