Denmark’s Anders Antonsen captured the men’s singles crown at the Thailand Open on Sunday, avenging last year’s final defeat to home favourite Kunlavut Vitidsarn.

The world No. 3 fought back from a set down to win 9-21, 24-22, 21-18 in a marathon 1 hour 37-minute battle in Bangkok. Antonsen also admitted he was fortunate to reach the final after China’s Shi Yuqi withdrew from the semi-finals due to injury.
Kunlavut, the world No. 2 and defending champion, described the match as highly competitive, praising Antonsen’s aggressive approach and court control.
In the women’s singles, Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi defeated China’s Chen Yufei in straight sets to secure the title, while China claimed the women’s doubles crown. Indonesia won the men’s doubles, and Denmark sealed the mixed doubles title.
