Malaysia’s Leong Jun Hao earned sweet revenge over Japan’s Kodai Naraoka by booking his place in the second round of the Indonesia Open.

Jun Hao produced a composed performance to overcome Naraoka, avenging the straight-games defeat he suffered to the Japanese shuttler during the Thomas Cup group stage in April. The victory also improved his head-to-head record against Naraoka to 5-2.
The win marks a significant confidence boost for Jun Hao after a difficult Thomas Cup campaign, where he openly described his performances as one of the biggest setbacks of his career.
By turning the tables on Naraoka, the Malaysian showed resilience and determination as he continues his push for consistency on the BWF World Tour.
