Cristiano Ronaldo could finally be set to marry long-time partner Georgina Rodríguez, with reports suggesting the couple will tie the knot in Madeira, the Portuguese island where the football icon was born.

While neither Ronaldo nor Georgina has officially confirmed the wedding, British media claim the ceremony is scheduled for August 8, bringing years of speculation about their relationship to an end.
According to reports, the wedding will take place at the historic Funchal Cathedral before a lavish reception at the five-star Savoy Palace Hotel in Madeira’s capital.
Rumours gathered pace after guests at the luxury hotel were informed that two floors and several bar areas would be closed for a private event under tight security throughout Friday and Saturday.
Madeira would hold special significance for Ronaldo, who was born and raised in Funchal before beginning the journey that turned him into one of football’s greatest-ever players.
The couple, who started dating in 2016 after meeting in Madrid, confirmed their engagement in August 2025 when Georgina shared a photo of her diamond ring on social media. Ronaldo later revealed that his daughters had encouraged him to propose.
If the reports prove accurate, the ceremony will mark a new chapter for one of football’s most famous couples, who are raising five children together.
