Brazilian legend Ronaldinho is set to make a surprise return to football at the age of 46, more than a decade after his last professional appearance.

The former Barcelona, PSG and AC Milan star has joined Italian third-tier club Ravenna, where he will also become a shareholder. However, it remains unclear whether he will actually play, with Ronaldinho saying that decision is up to the coach.
His reported aim is to score a 300th professional goal, although the exact figure is disputed by different career records.
Regardless of whether he takes the pitch, Ronaldinho’s arrival has already created huge excitement in Ravenna, with the club reportedly seeing a major boost in season-ticket sales.
At 46, the Brazilian could now make an unlikely return to competitive football — although he would still be younger than Kazuyoshi Miura, 59, who continues to play professionally.
