Arsenal have agreed a £51 million deal to sign England defender Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa, strengthening their defence ahead of the new season.

The 28-year-old is expected to sign a four-year contract, with the move designed to provide cover while William Saliba and Jurrien Timber remain sidelined.
Konsa’s versatility is a major attraction for Mikel Arteta, as he can play both centre-back and right-back. He was also part of England’s 2026 World Cup run and helped Villa win the Europa League last season.
The deal represents another major investment from Arsenal as they look to defend their Premier League title and compete on multiple fronts.
