Real Madrid continued their perfect start to the Champions League campaign with a convincing 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig, recording their third win in as many European matches under Jose Mourinho.
Bernardo Silva opened his Real Madrid account by pouncing on a loose ball late in the first half. Arda Guler doubled the advantage in the 52nd minute after Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe combined to create the opportunity.
Mbappe then curled home Madrid’s third goal to put the game beyond Leipzig’s reach. Although Tidiam Gomis pulled one back for the visitors, Yan Diomande stole the spotlight late on with a spectacular volley into the top corner to complete the rout.
The victory marked Madrid’s fourth consecutive win across all competitions, giving them a timely confidence boost ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated El Clasico against Barcelona. With their European campaign firing on all cylinders, Mourinho’s side will hope to carry that momentum into their biggest domestic test yet.
