Dota 2 has rolled out a small but crucial update, addressing a major bug in “Quarterly Oddities” that was causing crashes, while fans were left disappointed at the continued absence of “Compendium 2025.”

Team Spirit analyst Mark “Sikle” Lerman highlighted the key fixes on his Telegram channel. The Radiance effects for level 29 in “Quartero’s Curios” — the source of the crash — have been resolved. Rubick’s cast settings now appear under a “Hero Specific” category, with the possibility of more heroes being added later.
Although the Radiance visual effects remain unchanged, the game no longer crashes when triggered, solving an issue that had plagued many players.
Still, the update didn’t deliver what many were hoping for: the Compendium 2025. Based on the current timeline, the Battle Pass-style feature will likely drop on August 21, exactly two weeks before The International 2025 kicks off.
As a side note, it was recently revealed that some of Dota 2’s free skins weren’t made by Valve — with at least one dating back nine years.
