France’s Super Subs Complete Stunning Comeback

France produced a remarkable late turnaround to beat Belgium 4-1 in the Nations League, scoring four times in the final 14 minutes after falling behind at home.

Belgium took the lead in the 35th minute through Dodi Lukebakio and frustrated France for most of the match. Zinedine Zidane then turned to his bench, bringing on Michael Olise, Rayan Cherki and Désiré Doué.

The changes transformed the game. Doué equalised in the 77th minute before Cherki put France ahead three minutes later. Olise then took centre stage, scoring twice to complete a spectacular comeback and earn Man of the Match honours.

The victory keeps France unbeaten and top of Group A1 with 10 points, three ahead of Italy, while Belgium remain third on six. It also gave Zidane his first home victory as France boss after his 1-1 draw with Italy three days earlier.

Is Michael Olise becoming one of the biggest stars in Zidane’s France?
