Harry Kane Wins Ballon d’Or But Has His Eyes on Champions League and World Cup Glory

Harry Kane has reached the pinnacle of individual football honours, but the England captain insists his career is far from complete after winning the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

The 33-year-old became the first Englishman in 25 years to claim the prestigious award, beating Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal after a sensational season in which he scored 73 goals in 65 appearances for club and country, helping Bayern Munich secure a domestic league and cup double.

Despite the personal milestone, Kane is hungry for more. After Bayern’s Champions League semi-final exit last season and England’s heartbreak in major international competitions, he has set his sights on winning Europe’s biggest club prize and ending England’s long wait for a major tournament trophy.

Kane’s journey to the top was far from straightforward. He endured four loan spells away from Tottenham before establishing himself as one of the world’s leading strikers, and says those early struggles helped shape his mentality and determination to keep improving.
