Klay Thompson may no longer be the player he once was, but his legendary run with the Golden State Warriors remains unforgettable.
The Warriors have struggled to recapture their dominance in recent seasons, finishing 37-45 last season before being eliminated by the Los Angeles Clippers in the Play-In Tournament. However, their success throughout the 2010s — and Thompson’s crucial role in it — remains a defining chapter in NBA history.
Since leaving Golden State in 2024 as part of a six-team sign-and-trade deal, Thompson has experienced a difficult transition with the Dallas Mavericks.
Although he has remained relatively healthy, appearing in at least 69 games in each of his two seasons in Dallas, his production has continued to decline. During the 2025-26 season, Thompson averaged a career-low 11.7 points per game while playing just 21.7 minutes per game, also the lowest mark of his career.
Still, his achievements with the Warriors serve as a reminder of just how dominant Thompson once was, particularly as one of the greatest shooters and perimeter defenders of his generation.
