LeBron James was courtside on Saturday night at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas to support his son Bronny James during the Lakers’ NBA Summer League matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. The 39-year-old NBA icon was joined by his wife, Savannah, and their 10-year-old daughter, Zhuri.

The Lakers entered the game looking to rebound after a narrow 87-85 loss to the Dallas Mavericks in their Summer League opener, which featured a strong showing from top overall pick Cooper Flagg. The game drew 1.12 million viewers, making it the fourth-most-watched Summer League broadcast ever, according to ESPN.
Bronny, who was drafted 55th overall by the Lakers in 2024 after one season at USC, is working to find his rhythm at the professional level. In 27 appearances during the 2024-25 NBA season, he averaged 2.3 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game, playing just under seven minutes a night. He shot 31.3% from the field and 28.1% from beyond the arc.
LeBron, meanwhile, continues to defy age in his record-tying 22nd NBA season. He averaged 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists over 70 games—all starts—while shooting 51.3% from the floor and a career-best 78.2% from the free-throw line. It was his lowest scoring output since his rookie campaign, but he still played nearly 35 minutes per game.
The Lakers finished the 2024-25 regular season with a 50-32 record, topping their division but falling short in the postseason with a 4-1 first-round loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves—their second straight early playoff exit.
LeBron and Bronny made history as the NBA’s first-ever father-son duo to play together. With the Summer League now in full swing after stops in Salt Lake City and San Francisco, it will conclude with the championship game on July 20 in Las Vegas.
