Jose Mourinho has taken a subtle swipe at Pep Guardiola in his new Netflix documentary, insisting he could never imagine taking a break from football management.
Mourinho, now back at Real Madrid, said he still has the desire to manage for many more years and wants to continue winning trophies. He suggested that football remains too enjoyable for him to walk away from.
His comments appear to be a reference to Guardiola, who took a sabbatical after leaving Barcelona in 2012 before returning to management with Bayern Munich.
Mourinho’s message was clear: he has no plans for a sabbatical and wants to keep working until he can no longer do so.
