MPL Indonesia Season 15 Breaks Records, Enters All-Time Esports Viewership Top 10

The 15th season of MPL Indonesia has shattered viewership records and cemented its place among the top 10 most-watched esports events of all time. The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) regional league reached a staggering 4.13 million peak concurrent viewers during the Grand Final between RRQ Hoshi and ONIC Esports, marking the highest viewership for any esports tournament so far in 2025.

Running for over three months with a $298,000 prize pool, MPL Indonesia Season 15 has set a new benchmark for regional esports. It became just the second MPL event—and the only non-global esports event this year—to surpass the 4 million peak viewers milestone. Both events now sit alongside some of the biggest global championships in esports history.

Despite a dramatic 3-4 loss in the final to ONIC Esports, RRQ Hoshi’s resurgence captured massive fan attention. The team featured in all five of the tournament’s most-watched matches, highlighting its enduring popularity. The Grand Final showdown alone outpaced all previous 2025 tournaments, including ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: Mobile Masters.

The league also set a new standard on social media. TikTok Live reached 1.53 million peak concurrent viewers, with Indonesia contributing 1.4 million—breaking national records for esports viewership on the platform.

In total, MPL ID Season 15 surpassed 100 million hours watched, making it the fourth consecutive Indonesian split to do so. These are the only non-global tournaments to appear in the all-time top 10 for hours watched.

This performance reaffirms the unparalleled passion of Indonesian MLBB fans and the region’s growing influence in the global esports ecosystem. It now ranks as the third most popular MLBB event ever, behind only the M4 and M5 World Championships—an extraordinary achievement for a regional league.
