Ng Tze Yong will have knee surgery in Doha after tearing his ACL during last month’s Malaysian Masters. The 25-year-old, who only recently returned from two back surgeries, faces up to a year of recovery. BAM confirmed the decision, with the National Sports Institute arranging the surgery date. The move abroad follows suggestions from former stars like Lee Chong Wei and Goh Liu Ying to seek treatment overseas. Tze Yong had only played three tournaments since his comeback before the latest setback.
