Qatar Airways, the Official Airline and Global Partner of Formula 1®, recently took its commitment to the sport to new heights—literally. In collaboration with Warner Bros. Pictures, Apple Original Films, and Formula 1®, the airline operated an exclusive charter flight for F1® drivers and team principals from the 2025 FORMULA 1® PIRELLI CANADIAN GRAND PRIX in Montréal to the star-studded world premiere of F1® The Movie in New York City.
A Sky-High Celebration of Speed and Cinema
Departing from Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL), the bespoke Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300ER transported motorsport’s elite directly to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The journey served as both a logistical triumph and a showcase of the airline’s industry-leading hospitality, highlighted by its award-winning Qsuite business class.
Guests aboard the flight—including some of the biggest names in Formula 1®—enjoyed lie-flat beds, privacy doors, and custom seating arrangements ideal for groups. High-speed Wi-Fi powered by Starlink ensured seamless connectivity en route to New York, allowing passengers to engage with fans and media ahead of the evening’s festivities.
A Grand Premiere at Radio City Music Hall
Upon arrival, the group headed straight to the iconic Radio City Music Hall for the premiere of F1® The Movie—an immersive cinematic experience exploring the speed, strategy, and spectacle of Formula 1®. The film debuts internationally on June 25, 2025, and in North American theaters on June 27, 2025.
Qatar Airways’ branding is featured prominently in the film, reinforcing the airline’s growing presence in motorsport culture and entertainment.

A Record-Breaking Day in New York
The charter flight also capped a historic day for Qatar Airways in New York, which saw the airline operate four departures from JFK—its busiest day in the city to date. With 11 U.S. gateways and connections to more than 170 destinations globally, Qatar Airways continues to expand its footprint in the North American market.
