World No 1 men’s doubles pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin and mixed doubles duo Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai have officially joined Malaysia’s Road to Gold (RTG) programme for the 2025 cycle.

Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh said they will receive performance-based support as they target qualification and historic success at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

They join a growing list of national athletes in the RTG initiative, including top badminton pairs like Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, Pearly Tan-M Thinaah, and Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei, along with weightlifter Mohd Aniq Kasdan, cyclists Nurul Izzah Izzati and Muhammad Shah Firdaus, and squash player S Sivasangari.

Additional athletes such as archers Ariana Nur Dania, Syaqiera Mashayikh, and Nurul Azreena, plus squash player Ng Eain Yow, have joined the Fast Track RTG programme.

Launched in April 2023, RTG is Malaysia’s national strategy to secure its first Olympic gold, with a focus on Paris 2024 and LA28.
