Justin Hoh Eyes Breakthrough on Debut US-Canada Tour

Justin Hoh is set for his first appearance at the US Open (June 24–29) and Canada Open (July 1–6), and the 21-year-old hopes to make the long, costly trip count.

“This will be my first time in the US and Canada, and it’s the longest flight I’ve taken,” said the world No. 42. “Thanks to BAM for the opportunity—I want to make it worthwhile.”

The Super 300 events won’t be easy, with top names like world No. 6 Chou Tien-chen and No. 12 Kenta Nishimoto in the draw. Justin faces Belgium’s Julien Carraggi in his opener and could meet Nishimoto in the quarter-finals.

After four solid weeks of training, Justin feels prepared. “Super 300s are tough now. I’ve worked on my physical condition after a busy run of tournaments,” he said.

Following a challenging season—his best result a quarter-final in Taiwan—Justin aims to close the year stronger. “I still lack speed, strength, and experience compared to the top players. I hope the next six months show improvement.”
