Florian Wirtz is expected to arrive in Liverpool on Thursday to begin his medical, with the process set to conclude on Friday. The 22-year-old German forward is joining from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth £100 million plus £16 million in add-ons, potentially making him the most expensive signing in British football history.

The move was delayed as Wirtz was on holiday following his Nations League campaign with Germany. He is now set to sign a five-year contract until 2030, reportedly earning around £200,000 per week.
Wirtz will be Liverpool’s fourth summer signing, following the arrivals of Jeremie Frimpong, Giorgi Mamardashvili, and Armin Pecsi.
