Cristiano Ronaldo Proposes to Georgina Rodriguez After Nine Years Together

Cristiano Ronaldo has proposed to his long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez, and she has accepted.

The 40-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner asked the 31-year-old Spanish model to marry him nearly a decade after they first met. Georgina announced the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of her engagement ring resting on Ronaldo’s hand, alongside the caption: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”

The couple first crossed paths in 2016 when Georgina was working at a Gucci store in Madrid. Ronaldo had previously expressed certainty that they would marry one day but said they were waiting for “that click.”

In recent years, speculation about an engagement had grown—Georgina was seen wearing a different ring in April, and in December, Ronaldo referred to her as his “wife” during the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.

They share two daughters, Alana (7) and Bella (3), though Bella’s twin brother Angel tragically died during birth. Georgina also helps raise Ronaldo’s three other children: Cristiano Jr. (15), and twins Mateo and Eva Maria (8).

Recalling their first meeting, Georgina said she was leaving work late when Ronaldo arrived with his eldest son and friends, describing the moment as “butterflies in my stomach.”

The family now live in Riyadh, where Ronaldo plays for Saudi club Al-Nassr. Georgina shared her engagement update from the Saudi capital.

Ronaldo remains one of football’s most decorated players, with major titles for Portugal, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.
