Jon Jones Eyes Ngannou Fight but Admits Retirement Likely

Jon Jones has expressed interest in a potential showdown with Francis Ngannou but admitted the fight is unlikely as he may have already competed for the final time in his career.

Speaking at a recent MVP MMA event, Jones said the biggest obstacle is still being under UFC contract, suggesting the matchup would only be possible if he can secure his release and work through another promoter.

Jones acknowledged his admiration for Ngannou’s recent knockout win but said he believes the opponent was outweighed and not on the same level in striking during the bout.

Despite occasional talk of returning for special events, Jones revealed he is financially and professionally comfortable outside the cage, saying he currently has “no real reason to fight anymore,” making retirement more probable than a comeback.
