Rashford & Onana Get 25% Pay Rise

Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana are set to receive a 25% salary increase from Manchester United despite not playing a single game for the club this season, thanks to clauses in their existing contracts.

The wage increase was automatically triggered after United qualified for the UEFA Champions League. Both players had accepted temporary pay cuts when the club failed to qualify for Europe previously, meaning their salaries now return to their original levels.

Rashford, who spent last season on loan at Barcelona, will reportedly see his weekly wages rise back to around £325,000, while Onana’s salary also increases significantly despite spending the campaign away from Old Trafford.

The higher wages could create fresh problems for Manchester United in the transfer market, as interested clubs may struggle to match their salaries. As a result, United could be forced to subsidise part of their wages or lower their asking prices if they want to move the pair on permanently.
