Hull City’s incredible Premier League return is already giving fans reason to dream — even if Sergej Jakirovic joked about a possible Champions League push.

After three games, Hull have collected seven points, kept three clean sheets and remain unbeaten, including a win over Manchester United and a 0-0 draw with Aston Villa.
Jakirovic quickly played down the Champions League talk, admitting it is still far too early. But the numbers are certainly impressive for a newly promoted side widely tipped to struggle.
In fact, history suggests Hull have already given themselves a huge advantage in the fight for survival. No newly promoted team has been relegated after taking seven or more points from their opening three Premier League games.
For now, Jakirovic is simply delighted with the start — and Hull fans can afford to dream a little.
Champions League? Probably too early. Survival? Hull are already looking very good.
