Manchester United are selling pieces of the Old Trafford pitch for £125 each, with the first batch already sold out.

The 7x7cm pieces of turf were preserved after the famous pitch was dug up and stripped back to its foundations for the first time in 14 years. Each piece is placed inside a glass cube and presented in a black case as a souvenir of Old Trafford.
The timing has raised plenty of eyebrows, however. United announced the pitch sale on the same day they revealed that overall debt remains above £1 billion.
United recorded record revenue of £677.6m and a £22.6m operating profit for 2025-26, but still posted a £43m pre-tax loss. The club has also spent £63.5m acquiring land for its planned new stadium, which is expected to cost more than £2bn.
