Klopp Suffers First Germany Defeat

Jürgen Klopp’s Germany era has suffered an early setback after Greece stunned them 1-0 in the Nations League.

Dimitris Kourbelis scored the winner in the 74th minute, with his effort taking a deflection off Joshua Kimmich and beating the goalkeeper. It was Greece’s first-ever win over Germany after 10 previous meetings.

Germany dominated possession for long periods but struggled to turn that control into goals. The defeat leaves Klopp without a win after his first two matches in charge, following a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands.

Klopp admitted the defeat was part of the process, but also acknowledged that Germany could not afford to lose the game. With Greece now top of Group A2 on six points and Germany on just one, the pressure is already building.

Two games. One point. Zero wins.
