Italy made it two wins from two against Turkey this Nations League campaign, beating them 3-1 in Bologna to strengthen their push for the quarter-finals.

Gianluca Scamacca opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a powerful volley, but Turkey fought back after the break. Aral Şimşir equalised in the 61st minute for his first international goal.
Italy responded almost immediately, with Riccardo Calafiori restoring their lead four minutes later with a header from Nicolò Barella’s free-kick. Substitute Pio Esposito then sealed the win in the 87th minute.
The victory moved Roberto Mancini’s Italy up to second in Group A1 with seven points, behind France on 10. Turkey remain bottom without a point after four matches and are now facing a serious relegation threat.
Can Mancini take Italy all the way to the Nations League quarter-finals?
