Al-Hilal Prepare £130m+ Bid for Alexander Isak Amid Newcastle Exit Talks

Al-Hilal are reportedly preparing a bid in excess of £130 million for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, as the Saudi Pro League side look to pull off a sensational summer signing.

The Sweden international has allegedly informed Newcastle that he wants to leave the club this summer. Speculation intensified after the 25-year-old was left out of the Magpies’ pre-season tour of Asia, with the club citing a minor thigh issue. However, multiple reports now claim Isak opted out of the tour after communicating his desire to move on.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with the striker and were considered frontrunners for his signature. However, the recent arrival of Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt may complicate any potential deal.

Newcastle are said to value Isak at around £150 million, and with his contract running until 2028, they remain in a strong negotiating position.

According to talkSPORT, Al-Hilal, now coached by Simone Inzaghi, are leading the race. The club, which finished second in the Saudi Pro League last season, already boasts an impressive squad featuring Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Theo Hernandez, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

While other Saudi clubs are also reportedly interested in Isak, Al-Hilal are viewed as the most serious contenders at this stage. Newcastle, if unable to convince the forward to stay, would reportedly prefer a sale to the Saudi Pro League rather than a direct Premier League rival.
