Arsenal are reportedly preparing their first official bid for Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, but the Spanish giants have responded by submitting a new contract offer in a bid to keep the Brazilian at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The Gunners are said to view Vinicius as their dream signing and are willing to make a club-record offer to test Real Madrid’s resolve. Manager Mikel Arteta is believed to be a strong admirer of the winger and sees him as the ideal addition to strengthen Arsenal’s attack.
Real Madrid, however, remain determined to retain one of their biggest stars. The club has reportedly presented Vinicius with an improved long-term contract in an effort to end speculation over his future and fend off Arsenal’s interest.
Despite Arsenal’s ambition, Vinicius’ priority is still believed to be staying at Real Madrid. While negotiations over a new deal are ongoing, the Premier League champions are expected to monitor the situation closely in case talks break down.
