Jude Bellingham admitted he “should have scored” after missing two big chances as Real Madrid edged Inter Milan 2-1 in their Champions League opener.
Madrid raced into a 2-0 lead through Kylian Mbappé and Federico Valverde, but Inter dominated large spells of the match and eventually pulled one back through Carlos Augusto.
Bellingham had two excellent opportunities to put the game beyond Inter, including a close-range effort brilliantly saved by Josep Martínez. He later missed another chance after the break.
The England midfielder was frustrated with his finishing, admitting he needs to be more clinical despite being pleased with Madrid’s victory.
Madrid won — but Bellingham knows he should have killed the game off.
