Enzo Fernández has wasted no time building a connection with Erling Haaland, praising the Manchester City striker after their impressive 2-0 Champions League win over Porto.
Haaland scored both goals in the second half, with Fernández providing the assist for the opener — a perfect cross that the Norwegian powered into the net.
Speaking after the match, Fernández described Haaland as “an animal” and “a beast”, saying he will always look for the striker on the pitch and hopes to provide him with many more assists.
The Argentine midfielder also praised the warm welcome he has received since his £125 million move from Chelsea, saying his new teammates and the City fans have made him feel at home.
