Liverpool have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Dani Carvajal on a free transfer, with the former Real Madrid star still looking for a new club after leaving Madrid this summer.
The 34-year-old spent 13 years at Real Madrid, winning an incredible 26 major trophies, including six Champions League titles. His experience could be valuable for Liverpool, particularly with Conor Bradley sidelined and Jeremie Frimpong currently their only natural senior right-back.
However, there is a major problem. Liverpool have already filled their 17-player non-homegrown quota for the Premier League, meaning they cannot simply register Carvajal without making room in the squad.
Carvajal would also be a gamble at 34 after a difficult injury history. Still, his experience, defensive intelligence and winning mentality could make him an attractive short-term option, especially for Champions League football.
