Bradley Barcola has opened up about the challenge of adapting to English football after a difficult start to life at Liverpool, admitting that the Premier League’s physical demands and intensity have taken some getting used to.

“The French league is physical, but here I’d say it’s more physical in terms of running,” Barcola explained. “The matches are fast and open from both sides, the level is very high, but that’s also why I came here. It’s a new challenge for me.”
The French winger arrived from Paris Saint-Germain in a huge transfer deal, raising expectations among Liverpool fans. However, he has yet to register a goal or assist for the Reds and struggled to make an attacking impact in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.
Despite the criticism, Barcola’s comments suggest he understands what he needs to adapt to. Liverpool will hope his pace, dribbling and attacking quality start producing results as he becomes more familiar with the Premier League.
Is Barcola simply going through a normal adaptation period, or should Liverpool fans already be concerned about their expensive signing?
