Manchester United block loan exit for Kobbie Mainoo amid Premier League and European interest

Manchester United reportedly received three loan enquiries from Premier League clubs for Kobbie Mainoo, after the midfielder asked to leave on loan due to limited game time at the start of the season.

The 20-year-old was an unused substitute in United’s first two league fixtures, sparking fears among fans that he could depart. Mainoo then featured in the Carabao Cup clash against Grimsby Town and came off the bench against Burnley, playing a role in United’s first win under Ruben Amorim.

According to the Daily Mail, Italian champions Napoli were leading the chase, ahead of AS Roma and Marseille. Meanwhile, Everton, Tottenham, and Aston Villa all lodged enquiries in the Premier League.

However, with injuries to Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount, Amorim insisted that Mainoo stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place in the squad.
