Rasmus Højlund celebrated his goal against Portugal with Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic “Siuuu” celebration, as the Denmark striker paid tribute to his childhood idol.

Højlund’s 53rd-minute goal made it 2-2, and he later explained that the celebration was simply a tribute to Ronaldo. He said Ronaldo’s legacy would never be forgotten and that he felt fortunate to have grown up watching his idol.
The moment came just days after Ronaldo left the Portugal camp amid tensions over his role under Jorge Jesus. Ronaldo was absent as Portugal went on to beat Denmark 4-2, with Højlund scoring Denmark’s second goal.
Højlund has previously performed the “Siuuu” against Portugal, making it clear that his admiration for Ronaldo goes back years.
