Jobe Bellingham Makes Dortmund Debut in Club World Cup Draw

Jobe Bellingham made his Borussia Dortmund debut as a second-half substitute in a 0-0 draw against Brazil’s Fluminense at the Club World Cup in New Jersey.

The 19-year-old midfielder followed in the footsteps of older brother Jude, though he couldn’t help Dortmund find a breakthrough. Fluminense, runners-up in the 2023 tournament, created the better chances, with Colombian forward Jhon Arias threatening multiple times and veteran goalkeeper Fabio keeping a clean sheet in his 1,375th career appearance.

Dortmund’s Gregor Kobel made key saves, including a standout stop to deny Nonato. The match also featured appearances from Jamie Gittens and Chelsea loanee Carney Chukwuemeka late in the game. Bellingham’s debut came less than a month after helping Sunderland secure promotion to the Premier League.
